Throughout my teenage years & into my early twenties at University I played competitive softball in America. I loved the camaraderie of being part of a team, & developing a strong work ethic, but over time, the physical & mental pressures that came with competitive sport became too much for my body & spirit to handle. Naturally, I steered clear of any activity that could potentially cause unhealthy, over-competitive emotions to surface; even Bowling stressed me out! 

   Fast forward to 2015, twenty-four & living in Cairns. I still remember the Beginners Yoga class I went to with my girlfriends on a random Tuesday night at a local studio. Our instructor Rachel was open, challenging, nurturing & quickly became an inspiration to me, along with many instructors down the line who wholeheartedly gave themselves to their practice & students. 

  I kept attending Yoga classes as often as possible; then workshops; volunteered at a Yoga festival in Sunny Coast; I began taking my regular practice home with me. 

I could see the shift of Yoga becoming less of “a thing I do” & more of a “way I live”. 

  It was the first time (in a long time) I was committed to something that was bettering the wider scope of myself... 

For this reason I took a leap to deepen my practice further by attaining 200hr Yoga Teacher Training focusing on Hatha Vinyasa in Darjeeling, India in June of 2018.


Yoga has opened my eyes & heart to a lifestyle that is supportive, not competitive; a nurturing journey, not a destination; & a force that unites all aspects of our lives.

I invite you to flow with me in my intermediate level V I N Y A S A style classes where the intention fluctuates weekly between developing strength, flexibility & mindful movement. 

I also love to throw in some fun balances, binds, inversions etc. so get ready to have a play (or a fall, & that’s OK too)!
