I found yoga when I was 15 and was instantly hooked on how amazing it made me feel inside and out. Coming from a dance background, I loved the fact that yoga wasn’t about being better than the person on the mat next to you, it wasn’t about competing or pushing yourself to your limits. It allowed me to take the pressure off and simple BE me.
I dabbled in and out of practising for a few years and really dove in head first when I moved down south to study. Yoga supported me through times of depression, anxiety and complete isolation. It was in this time that I also found a love for pilates. Pilates reminded me of the conditioning classes I used to do at dancing and because of that, it felt like home.
I began practising pilates regularly to compliment my yoga practice and soon fell in love it as much as I had yoga. Shortly after this, I found barre, which really brought me back to my dancing roots and now, I love sharing the three practices because I believe that anyone can do them all! No matter what you look like, no matter where you’ve come from and no matter where you want to be, these practices bring you into the present moment, they create a strength and flexibility in your body and mind and they support you in being the best version of yourself. I hope my classes help you to find the best version of you on the mat so that you can be that person when you step out into the world.
