The eternal student, I originally did my first yoga teacher training in 2012, went on to complete another 200 hours in 2016 and recently completed more teacher training with power living. Yoga for me presses pause on my life. It allows me to connect to myself honestly and with authenticity in a way that no other aspect of my life can. My aim in classes is to create a space where everyone feels welcome. Where everyone feels like they can practice yoga. It is important for my students to have a positive yoga experience and for me to make yoga feel good in their body and be able meet them where they are at. No matter where you are at in your life, ‘come as you are philosophy’ is so important to me. With an emphasis on alignment, somatic inquiry, a strong focus on breath, I have a nurturing approach to teaching. It is important that my students feel connected, grounded, to feel challenged and empowered. I’ve been a naturopath for over 14 years and yoga just seem to be a perfect fit as another way for me to help people be happier, healthier and live with more awareness to support a self exploration of mind, body and spirit.
